Procurement Sourcing Category Officer (Mining Industries)

1. Have at least Bachelor’s degree from top tier university
2. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar position
3. Experience in basic knowledge of accounting, finance, and legal terms
4. Experience in managing multiple stakeholders across various levels of seniority
5. Strong individual with broad networks in procurement and experience dealing with external stakeholders
6. Experience with sourcing and vendor management tools, and relevant e-Procurement software (Ariba, 4HANA, etc.) is a plus
7. Working knowledge in Resources industry (utilities, oil & gas, mining, natural, etc.)
8. Strong communication and negotiation skills
9. Good analytical and strategic thinking skills
10. Have experience in Contract Management, Part Management, and Vendor Management would be a plus

Job Description

We are Business Process Services professionals working on projects across a range of business processes, business applications, and information technology. We are delivering business process services, including finance and accounting, procurement, and human resources. Our Client is seeking a Junior Officer with +3 years of strong experience in sourcing execution, who has led teams of category sourcing specialists. Experience in sourcing of categories like heavy equipment, spare parts, and engineering materials.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and analyze bids and quotations in terms of cost, quality, source, and urgency.
2. Develop, negotiate, and administer lower value SOW and commercial contracts.
3. Support the analysis of different suppliers, including price and total cost analysis.
4. Identify and propose cost reduction and performance improvement opportunities.
5. Support the Executive Summary for the team by consolidating and reporting various KPIs.
6. Analyze and compare potential and current suppliers; evaluate and recommend new or on-going relationships; manage some smaller commodity items
7. Develop supplier service levels and analyze supplier performance data.
8. Work with suppliers on cost improvements and continuous process
9. Support the management and maintenance of supplier relationships
10. Obtain deep industry, supplier, and internal client knowledge for assigned procurement categories along with the ability to cross train other analysts.
11. Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members to deliver significant results
